For our Coaching Staff

General Coaching Ethics
  • Coaches are to behave and offer an example of respect and professionalism to others around them, including, but not limited to, spectators, community members, and players.
  • Coaches have a responsibility to promote soccer and United FC, Inc. in our area.
  • Positive and constructive comments about the team, and association are expected. If there is a problem, then please speak with a board member to resolve your issues.
  • Home or away, coaches are to maintain the utmost integrity and offer themselves as an example of this.

All coaches must register through the Sports Affinity site:
http://pawest-ufc.sportsaffinity.com/reg/index.asp

Coaches and Players
  • The coach will always place safety concerns over winning.
  • Coaches are to keep players practicing good sportsmanship at all times. Coaches are to set an example of sportsmanlike conduct and behavior.
  • Coaches will not deliberately encourage unsportsmanlike activities.
  • Coaches will not tolerate inappropriate behavior from players for any reason. Players may be benched or excused from the game due to inappropriate behavior.
  • Coaches will always follow our rules and policies.
  • Coaches will be sure a player gets appropriate medical attention for any injuries sustained during game or practice time.
Coaches and Officiators (Referees)
  • Officials must have the support of coaches, players and spectators. Coaches must always refrain from criticizing officials in the presence of players or spectators.
  • Professional respect during every aspect of the game is expected. There must be no demeaning dialogue, harping, or gestures between officials, coaches, or players.
  • Coaches must not encourage game disruptions.
  • Problems with an official should be handled through the appropriate channels. Not at the field.
