United FC Core Values
-Within  UFC core goals and aims-make sure that you are expecting of your son or daughter is reasonable.
-No coaching of the players by parents should occur. Coaching must be left to the coaches.
-Parents should spectate at UFC games from the opposite side of the field as the team bench.
-Individual  development of each  UFC player is the number one focus of UFC soccer. All decisions and actions taken by UFC coaching staff and administration will be based on this premise as the primary factor. Playing the game at a higher level-enjoying the game-increasing self-esteem and providing opportunities for personal growth far outweigh any drive for winning soccer games.
-While winning is important to growth within  UFC -it is absolutely not our number one goal. There will be times when coaches will have to make difficult decisions regarding playing tiem of players versus successful completion of a game. Success and wins at UFC will be a by-product of individual improvement and development.
-Positive encouragement of UFC players by parents is not only encouraged but suggested. This is vital to help young players understand the significance of winning and losing, the experience of frustrationin learning, and the need to develop  self-confidence.
-However, parents should refrain from giving feedback to players regarding technical or tactical performance unless they have consulted with the coach, as they may give contradictory information which can lead to confusion or frustration for the player.
-Positive parental support is vital during times of disappointment-which is a natural part fo the developmental process.
-When attending games (all games) it is important that UFC parents set a good example by supporting the team(s) in a positive manner.  At UFC we spend a great amount of time talking to all of our players about sportsmanship, ethics in sport and ethical  and classy behavior. Even in times of frustration and "the heat of the battle" you won't see any UFC coaches lose self-control--we do not expect our players to do so--it would be a shame if this could not be said for our parents and fans!
-For the good of all, if misconduct by UFC staff, UFC players, and UFC parents occurs this should be reported to the United FC Board via, unitedfc1979@gmail.com.

-As players grow and mature a significant part of their development as athletes and as people will require that they have the opportunity to perform when their parents are not in attendance. The truth is that players need to become accustomed to dealing with problems and disappointments by themselves.
-By having the occasional non-attendance of parents at games some players may benefit as they dont have the added burden of having to please their parents as well as the coach, teammates and most importantly themselves.
-All players are expected to be punctual for training and games.  This applies to collecting them after training and games. This helps alleviate child protection difficulties.
-Unless otherwise noted, we have a UFC club guideline of arriving at the game site 45 minutes prior to scheduled kick-off.
-Parents should provide a personal email address to be kept current on  all UFC activities and check www.unitedfcsoccer.com regularly for ongoing announcements and information.
-The care and welfare of our players is of paramount importance to us. To this end the team coach will have the most contact with your players. You should direct your concerns to the team coach first.
-It is expected that players attend as many training sessions as is possible throughout the year. Repetitive training of fundamental skills is the core to consistent development.
-Players should not participate in UFC activities if they are injured. Parents should support us in educating the players in the need to be disciplined in the balance betwen playing and resting.
